I started painting with watercolor in 1989 and I soon expanded to acrylic, oils, pen and ink, charcoal, pastels and color pencil. From 1984-1986 and 1991-1994, I attended Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, studying painting, anatomy, portrait, illustration, drawing, color and graphic design (along with many design and art related classes). I have studied at the Decordova Museum in MA, the Cape Cod School of Art with Lois Griffel in Provincetown, MA
I have studied with Wolf Kahn in Lyme, Conn., and Carlton Plummer in Booth Bay Harbor, Maine, just to name a few of my many workshops. My paintings have been displayed in galleries, art associations, restaurants, hospitals, and Universities in the New England, east coast area. I’ve had articles written about my artwork (my illustrated children’s books) in local papers. I am presently showing my work at the Out of the Blue gallery in Cambridge, MA. I was in the Tehachapi Cross Roads gallery which has since closed. Commission work is a specialty and passion of mine.
My work was on display at the Bakersfield Museum in 2017 and I show yearly at the Bear Valley Art Association. I presently live in Tehachapi, CA.
